3,100 (March 9, 2010)

Local share prices struggled in today's trading but the PSEi managed to end with yet another gain. The increase of 12.37 points or 0.40% pushed the main index above 3,100 for the first time since early January. Closing at 3,107.35, the PSEi is now close to its YTD date high of 3,130. With PLDT (TEL) unchanged at P2,675.00, a host of other index issues led the way.

Make or Break (March 5, 2010)

The local equities market ended the latest week on a rather mixed note. The main composite index moved within a very narrow 70 point range through out the week. Most big cap blue chip issues were quiet as traders focused on the more speculative short term trading opportunities provided by third liner issues.
